69th REPUBLIC DAY CELEBRATION

Date: 26.01.2018              Venue: G. Venkataswamy Naidu College.

            The 69th Republic day was celebrated with enthusiasm, Colege Principal       Dr. S. Krishnasamy hoisted our National Flag. Staff and Students saluted the National flag and pledged to uphold honour, integrity, diversity and uniqueness of our country. Principal addressed the students and share warm wishes & greetings . Two NSS Volunteers delivered a speech about Democracy and National Integration. A group of students presented patriotic songs. Later, students  who  won in the Essay competition & poster making on “My Vision corruption free India” were honoured by Principal.

National Voters Day Celebrations

Date: 24.11.2018      Venue: Kovilpatti

Rally and Human Chain highlighting the importance of casting the vote marked the National Voters’ Day celebration.  NSS volunteers took out a rally and human chain to mark the occasion. Dr. S. Krishnasamy, Principal flagged off the rally. The students formed human chain in the Bus stand to accentuate the Importance of voting. The participants carried placards and banners urging people to participate in the democratic process wholeheartedly and enrol all those who had completed 18 years of age in the poll rolls.

NOTICE ISSUING CAMPAIGN

Date: 09.01.2018      Venue: Kovilpatti.

In collaboration with District Food Safety & Drug Adminstration Department, Thoothukudi District, the NSS Volunteers distributed notice in and around Kovilpatt town and created awareness about the Importance of getting food safety registration and its Procedures.

YOUTH EMPOWERMENT

Date: 05.01.2018      Venue: G. Venkataswamy Naidu College.

In connection with 155th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, ARISE a youth empowerment programme was organized in collaboration with the Heartfulness Institute. Trainer Mr. K. Sathish Kumar and Mr. K. Ganasekar motivated the students.

CAMPUS CLEANING

Date: 04.01.2018 & 08.01.2018      Venue: G. Venkataswamy Naidu College.

In connection with the harvest festival of Pongal NSS Units 51 & 52   organized campus cleanliness drive inside the College.  NSS Volunteers, Staff and students actively participated in the campus cleaning camp. They cleaned up the entire campus area and the plastics collected were disposed off safely by the volunteers.
