NSS Volunteers Start-ups

            To enhance their personality and self sustainability, a start-up programme was introduced by NSS cell, in which the volunteers prepared vermicompost and sold other products.

Students Participations – One Day Seminar

            Three Volunteers participated in the one day State level seminar on “Roles and Responsibilities in the Society” organized by NSS Unit sourastra College, Madurai on 15^th September 2018.

Green Walk – An Environmental Awareness Programme

Date: 07.093.2018      Venue: GVN College, Botanical Garden

          An Environmental Awareness Programme “Green Walk” was orgnaized in our College Botanical Garden for the students of Government Higher Secondary School, Ilayarasanendal. Awareness about conservation of Flora and Faunas was created. Later a game show was organized to show that the entire organisms and their food chains are interlinked. Power point show was organized to create awareness about the importance of Western Ghats & Wild life Conservation.

Eye Donation Awareness Rally

          Volunteers participated in the massive Eye Donation Rally orgnaized by Kovilpatti Eye Donation Club & Aravind Eye Hospital, Tirunelveli. 

Plastic Awareness Rally

Date: 01.09.2018                                            Venue:  Puthu Appaneri

          In Collaboration with Kuruvikulam Panchayat a Plastic Awareness Rally, collection of carry bags and other plastic items was conducted. College Principal Dr. S. Krishnasamy Inaugurated this rally, Kuruvikulam Panchayat Block Development Officer Mr. Selvakumar presided over the rally.
