In connection with Dr. A.P.J.
Abdul Kalam’s Birthday, Youth awakening day was celebrated at Hindu Middle
School, Ayyaneri. Mrs. Mariammal, Head mistress presided over the function. NSS
Volunteers Mr. Karthick & Ms. Gowri narrated the story of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul
Kalam to the students. A short film about Dr. A. P.J. Abdul Kalam was shown to
the students. Tree saplings were also planted in the campus.
Later, by lighting the mud lamps
and taking the Diwali pledge the NSS volunteers and School students celebrated
a smokeless Diwali.
