BLOOD GROUP IDENTIFICATION, BLOOD PRESSURE & BMI CAMP

Date: 04.03.2018              Venue: Puthu Appaneri Village.

            A day-long blood group identification camp was organised at Puthu Appaneri Village. Prof. K. Subburayalu, Head, Department of Biochemistry, K.R. College, Kovilpatti identified the Blood group of the Villagers and the Volunteers. Dr. G. Chelladurai, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology checked Blood Pressure and BMI for the Volunteers.

ONE DAY HANDICRAFT WORKSHOP

Date: 03.03.2018              Venue: Puthu Appaneri Village

            A one day handicraft workshop was organized in collaboration with the Department of Costume Design & Fashion Technology of our College. The team of students headed by Mrs. Santhanalakshmi, Head of this Department gave the training to make pendants from waste material. The villagers and Students Actively participated in this workshop.

FREE MEDICAL CAMP

Date: 02.03.2018      Venue: Puthu Appaneri Village.

A free medical camp was conducted jointly by NSS Unit 51 and Kamala Mariammal Multi Speciality Hospital. Over 200 persons were screened by doctors and consultation  was provided to people with General Medicine by Dr. Kamala Mariammal, Dr. Assika, Child Specialist Dr. Sankar Srinivasan, Eye specialist Dr. Balasubraminaian and Ortho by             Dr. Vijayakumar.  A team of nurses checked Blood sugar, Blood pressure and conducted ECG tests besides providing diet consultation to the villagers.

LEGAL AWARENESS CAMP

Date: 01.03.2018                    Venue: Puthu Appaneri Village.

            A legal awareness camp was conducted by Mr. Alwarsamy Sivakumar, Advocate, Kovilpatti. He emphasised the importance division in Law and the procedures to write Right to information. Villagers and Volunteers actively participated in this workshop and interacted with the Advocate.

SPORTS EVENT FOR GOVERNMENT PRIMARY SCHOOL

Date: 01.03.2018                    Venue: Puthu Appaneri Village.

            Sports event was conducted by Dr. T. Kothaiammal, Physical Directress,                    G. Venkataswamy Naidu College for the Government Primary School students. Running race, Lemon in the Spoon and other events were conducted. The School Head Mistress and Teachers distributed the prizes to the prize winners.

FREE VETERINARY MEDICAL CAMP

Date: 01.03.2018      Venue: Puthu Appaneri Village.

A free medical veterinary camp was conducted by NSS Unit 51 and. Dr. Rajkumar conducted this medical camp, he examined Goat, Sheep, Hen, Chicken and Dogs and gave medicine and vaccination. Later he spoke to the volunteers on the importance of grazing of animals in Village economy and caring of animals.
