STATE LEVEL WORKSHOP ON “KITCHEN GARDEN”

Date: 06.02.2018      Venue: G. Venkataswamy Naidu College.

NSS Units 51 & 52 organized an one day state level hands on training workshop on “Kitchen Garden”, in collaboration with Entrepreneur Development Cell and Nature Club of G. Venkataswamy Naidu College, Kovilpatti for the NSS Volunteers and Local village people. In the morning session Mr. A. Balaji,  Mouthi Madi Veetu Thottam, Sivakasi conducted the workshop. In the inaugural session. Dr. S. Krishnsamy, Principal i/c delivered presidential address, Dr. N.R.Santhi Maheswari, Head of the Department of Mathematics delivered felicitation. Trainer Mr. Mr. A. Balaji explained the requirement of Kitchen garden and other techniques in connection with Kitchen garden.

In the afternoon session Dr. B. Makesh Kumar demonstrated about Vermiculture. Native seeds, Kitchen Garden Kit, organic fertilizers and our College NSS Volunteers produced Vermicompost were sold in the workshop. In the valedictory function Mrs. D. Jeyabharathi, Convener of Entreprenurship Developmental Cell delivered felicitation address and issued the certificates to the participants. NSS volunteers from different Colleges and villagers participated in this workshop.
