To create awareness among the students for
donating eyes, an eye donation awareness
camp organised by Lion Dr. J. Ganesh. When
a person’s cornea is donated, it would give vision to two to four corneally
blind persons. Hence, people should donate the eyes of their family members in
the event of their death so that the cornea, instead of getting buried or burnt
would give vision to others, Dr.J. Ganesh emphasised among the students.
Initially he telecasted a short movie to the students, questions were asked in this
regard to donation of eyes. The students
who answered to those questions were honoured by giving mementos.
